Perry Township has signed a contract with World Resource Recovery Systems to continue to provide curbside recycling
for residents of Perry Township and Perry Village. Residents interested in participating will be required to fill
out the enclosed application and return to World Resource with payment. Each residents portion will be $20.00 per
year and Perry Township and Perry Village will cover the rest of the cost for this program. This contract will
run retroactive from September 1st, 2007 through December 31, 2008. The Trustees will re-evaluate the program at
the end of that period.
We have discussed with World Resources our issues and concerns regarding the pick-up problems over the past year.
They assured us that service will improve. In an attempt to improve service, World Resources will be breaking the
pick-up days into two days, Mondays and Tuesdays. Recycling will be picked up on Mondays for residents north of
the Conrail Tracks and on Tuesdays for residents south of the Conrail tracks.
Just a few points to remember: Please make sure your recyclable tote is at the curb by 7:00 am on your scheduled
day of pick-up. Please pay close attention to which material (co-mingle or paper) is scheduled for pick-up each
week. We have recycle bins available for purchase at the Township Office for $8.00, if anyone is interested.
If you are interested in participating in this program, please mail your registration form and the $20.00 fee directly
to World Resource Recovery Systems ASAP. If you have any questions, please call Wally Siegel at (440) 259-5140.
