FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THE MANCHESTER ROAD BRIDGE CLOSURE IN THE PERRY VILLAGE
Lake County Engineer Alan L. Exley, PE, PS announced today that the LAK-Manchester Road Bridge Replacement in Perry Village is set to begin on or about Monday, April 20, 2026. Construction is to be completed by October 30, 2026. This is an 80% State funded Project for construction of the new Bridge at the existing location.
The bridge is located approximately 0.36 Miles East of the intersection of Center Road and Manchester Road. The bridge spans over Red Mill Creek.
Work shall include removal of the existing 27’ clear span steel beam bridge and substructure units and will be replaced with a 42’ Galvanized steel beam bridge with a composite concrete deck with concrete stub abutments on steel piling. A pedestrian walk will be included as part of the bridge. Work will require the bridge to be closed to vehicular as well as pedestrian traffic, the detour will be posted.
Posted Detour: Center Road to Middle Ridge Road to Call Road.
The $1,162,000.00 project was awarded to Union Industrial Contractors, Inc of Ashtabula Ohio.
